YouTube Sponsored Videos open a new horizon for online marketing

Google has rolled out a couple new features lately. One speaks m.o.n.e.t.i.z.a.t.i.o.n. the other one, face to face communication with Gmail chat and video.
Back to the first feature, looks like YouTube is finally ready to bring in some of that revenue. The idea is that now, with YouTube Sponsored Videos, anyone can promote their videos on the search-results page. Bidding on specific keywords will promote your video to the right-hand side of YouTube’s search results along with an image and some text.
As Search Engine Land mashes it, the Google AdWords-like bidding and targeting YouTube video content feature will allow advertisers, publishers and marketers to place bid on any keyword to give the most visibility to their videos in the eyes of 80 million users.
The way it works is, the Sponsored Video platform guides you into choosing where you’d like your video exposed and the amount you want to bid (CPC bid only) into it by defining you daily budget. Once the initial step is completed, YouTube will begin displaying the relevant videos which will be marked ’sponsored videos’ on the search results.
This is one great advancement given that YouTube is now second runner up as Web search provider, after Google, leaving Yahoo! on third place. At the same time, it is the largest video site existent today with a huge potential to get targeted exposure on YouTube for any kind of content.
Finally, a solution to Google’s efforts in monetizing its billions-of-dollars baby and a great idea and alternative for effective online marketing!
