YouTube Live sets the pace on live streaming

As you already know, a few days back, YouTube launched YouTube Live, during a live show presented in San Francisco on November 22nd.
YouTube decided to venture into live web streaming to kick things up a notch. YouTube folks are well aware that maintaining its current viewership is definitely a daunting task. And not only that, they wanted to give back to the community who has loyally followed them and created a big chunk of its content.
In result, YouTube plotted out a massive webcasted show for the universe to tune into which featured from well-known stars like Katy Perry with her ‘I kissed a girl’ song, to Will I.am. to Chocolate Rain’s Tay Zonday, which has generated over 31 million views up to now…you remember him, right?
Live video is the new thing. I’m sure many start-ups will follow up after YouTube’s plunge into this new video streaming modality.
Advertisers will be flocking to YouTube now that thay have ‘experimented’ on live streaming. Equally so they’ve captured millions and millions of viewers with the normal platform, so it is quite clear this new service will give them the most exposure and so will be adopted by many.
Before I close, I wanted to bring these couple videos to your attention; he’s Beardyman, a genius, and one of the handfull stars showcased at YouTube Live 2008. Enjoy!
