Shout’em, the microblogging network that feels like having your very own Twitter

Shout’em, the microblogging platform that has been running on a private beta for months is finally going live early December.

Mashable’s Stan Schroeder explains the Croatian-born start-up allows for anyone to create and manage a microblogging community like Twitter that can be fully customizable. You can use your own URL and select the theme you’d like to portray, particularly when you want your microblog to look as if it was part of your parent Website which is quite convenient when its primary use is that of communicating with customers and prospects in this open source manner.

But the customizable options are many, the platform also allows users to create a private profile or network only for internal use in a business where you can decide from three default settings; simple microblogging, rich microblogging (allows for uploads and attachments) and private network (closed-walled community).

Additional options are that of choosing between free and paid-for accounts. The interesting part of having a paid account is that users can monetize their own networks and hopefully make some money out of them by displaying their own ads, whereas in free accounts, your exposed to all ads served by Shout’Em.

Having your very own private microblogging account could be quite interesting giving that it can be easily spread thanks to its friend finder and invitation sending modality. This will allow businesses to reach vast audiences, friends of friends of friends, pertaining to any other social networks (Facebook) or email platforms (Gmail/Yahoo) and rapidly grow their microblogging communities through Shout’Em.

I like it!
