Face of T-Mobile attracts 150.000 involved followers on her Hyves page

Wendy, the face of T-Mobile in the Netherlands, has attracted hundreds of thousands of members of the popular social network Hyves to her page. Wendy was created solely for this campaign and now has almost 30.000 ‘friends’ on the network. We at 77 think this is a good example of involving teenagers and twenty-somethings and have them interact with your brand representative for a long time.
The Hyves page came with a link to Wendy’s wereld (Dutch) with a game, that was played by over 150.000 visitors. This is the first time a company made use of a social network site with a personal profile to advertise, reported eMerce (Dutch) and we think that, when done right (non-intrusive, entertaining) and before everyone else is doing it, this can be a good method to reach many young people.
