Express yourself! wefeelfine.org, the online interface of human feelings

I thought this was pretty neat and impressive. I found this site called We Feel Fine and basically it’s an online social network of human feelings.
What the hell does that mean? What it is, is an interface which detects blog entries containing either ‘I feel’ or ‘I’m feeling’ phrases from around the world and saves them onto a platform.
Once the feeling is spotted, it is then displayed along with a bizillion other feelings classified by demographic features like gender, age, geographic location, etc.
The final product is a huge molecular cloud with little, colored and singularly shaped particles floating around each representing a feeling, from a specific someone, at a specific country, feeling in a particular way, that given day. The interface records around 15,000 to 20,000 daily feelings.
On the interface, feelings have different ways of organizing or categorizing themselves. The interface offers 6 levels of movement for the particles: Madness, Murmurs, Montage, Mobs, Metrics and Mounds. You can check out the details here, but for instance, the category Montage is quite nice because it defines what feelings actually ‘look’ like. There’s a certain population that uses pictures with their writing, and in this case, you may click on any of the pics for zooming in and it will also show the specific quote or phrase pertaining to the feeling.
Hey, It is a small world after all. This is one curious way to see things, plus it is a clever and artistic way to relate to people’s feelings. Your feeling(s) may encounter other feelings of the sort or the exact same one, thus creating the biggest showcase of emotions, all socially mingling with one another on one single space on the Web.
You can also run all types of surveys using this interface. Who’s happier or sadder where? Are males or females more satisfied or bummed out in life? And the list could keep going and going.
