Google Maps adds cool destination tools

Google Maps has added a tool in their Maps feature that allows you to drag your route to wherever you want to go. If you decide there’s a wonderful sight to visit a little outside your planned route, you can now simply drag the blue line over your destination and Maps will recalculate your route instantly. No more calculating two separate routes – this problem had already been solved by both Yahoo and Ask, but the click and drag offers a new level of usability. Give it a try at Google Maps or watch a demo here.
77 sees Google Maps becoming more attractive to advertisers all the time. This new feature allows users to calculate a route that not only takes them from A to B, but also takes them by that lunch place that was advertising on Google Maps (offering a coupon for a free dessert?)
