Different search engines give different results

Organic search results of different search engines dramatically differ, Infospace concludes in a research commissioned by dogpile, a search engine results aggregator. In the opinion of 77, the numbers seem a bit dramatized for enlarging the necessity for a search result aggregator. But the key note is that if you are not satisfied with the results of one engine, you can always try another and you’re likely to get other results. Also for marketers, diversification could be something to look into even though Google and Yahoo take by far the largest part of the search market.
Important info 77 took from the results:
Between 38 and 46 percent of search actions do not lead to clicks on the first page and make users move to other search engines for that query
Web searchers on average use three search engines a month
Only 3.6 percent of the number-one ranked, non-sponsored search results were the same across all search engines in a given query
Further, Infospace makes it clear that people searching for something should use multiple engines, all in favour of dogpile.
