Ralph Treeborn gives 77Lab five stars! – online self reviewing soon forbidden

If you’re writing raving online reviews on your own products under a pseudonym, you might as well stop it soon if you don’t want to be imprisoned. The Register points out that the European Union will make this practice illegal under civil and criminal law. This concerns opinions such as on online retailers and consumer review sites that were written without declaring that one has the goal to promote a certain product.
At 77 we think that it’s better to spend some time and money on a product that is easy to market, than to try and affect public opinion in a dishonest, and soon to be illegal, way.
