Marketers of technology brands in UK miss out on women

It seems that marketers of technology products in the UK do not have a clue of how to approach women. This can be concluded from a research performed by Saatchi & Saatchi. The report estimates the loss of potential sales at approximately £600 million, about €878 million. Women are mostly intimidated by the strong masculine atmosphere in stores and often ‘offended’ by certain gadgets of which they think that they are added by men to make products seem more feminine.
This easily translates into the online marketing world. Surprisingly, it appears women are more attracted by sleek design than by pinkish colors, and when designing an online campaign we should keep this in mind.
