Targeted advertising for LinkedIn’s InCrowd

LinkedIn is definitely not staying behind as it just launched its very own advertising network to target LinkedIn users across hundreds of sites.
They too want to make some money out of advertising and one great advantage this advertising solution has to offer is the ability to reach a very specific audience, with the right profile, industry, position and geography.
According to TechCrunch, the business social network has 27 million registered users. Also, it claims that the average household income of its members is $110,000, 64% are male with an average age of 41 and 49% are decision makers.
Basically, what LinkedIn is offering is definitely appealing to advertisers. Their proposal includes massive reach to very specific segments, at the right locations, where only decision-makers prevail.
As TechCrunch explains, it’s no longer about who has the biggest audience, but the most valuable.
Kevin Eyres, LinkedIn’s Managing Director for Europe said, “With recruitment, we’re finding that people are looking at how they can use other technology to ensure their spending is most effective.”
This becomes more and more relevant nowadays with the economic slowdown we are facing and the fact that advertisers are being all the more careful about their ad spend and revenues.
LinkedIn’s solution is cut out to fit businesses with a large budget as well as small marketers. To learn more about wide targeted advertising or highly-targeted text advertising, go on LinkedIn’s Advertise with us section. Or if you’d like more on LinkedIn’s Demographic data, check this slideshow.
