Google 411 mobile search out of beta

In the same month in which Microsoft announces the improvements of Live Search 411 (Search Engine Land article), Google released its GOOG 411 product from beta.
Both are basically the same services, providing users with relevant information on the product or service they are looking for in a specific area – according to what I’ve seen so far, that’s usually pizza in New York – over the phone. The service is free for the consumer and money is made from businesses that are listed in the directories after a call has been redirected or a mobile map is sent.
Linking to this old article, we state again that this is truly the advertising opportunity for local search for the future. There will soon be a time in which you will not need to use any signboards, or even put the name of your business on your door, since everyone will search for what they need through their phones.
