Microsoft Photosynth cool for PCs not for Macs

Mac vs. PC = eternal battle.
As you know, Microsoft Live Labs recently launched Photosynth, the software which arranges a collection of digital images into their 3D context. It’s a cool application that you can download directly to your computer ( PC not Mac ) along with its corresponding web browsing plug-in that enables you to view ’synths’ and navigate smoothly from one photo to another through the entire giant 3D mosaic.
Funny thing, and as fellow blogger Cory Bohon (Tuaw.com) pointed out on his post, is that any Apple user who wishes to install the software will run into an unexpected but sincere warning on the install page that reads the following:
“Unfortunately, we’re not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows. Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site”
But did we really need Microsoft’s confession to the ‘oh, so obvious’? nah, we were fully aware of this.
I also wanted to share this quick, South Park- Mac vs. PC video I just found, which sort of sums up the eternal rivalry between the two, lacking a few things here and there.
Or if you’re looking for something along the same tug-of-war tone you can always go to the Apple website and check out the new ‘Get a Mac’ ad campaign.
